The Right Shoe Style for You

By: Eric Minden

Many women enjoy wearing certain types of shoes, many times to boost their confidence and other times just to feel comfortable. Unfortunately many types of shoes are not good for your back.

If you are like me you probably like to wear high heeled shoes to work or out on a date, and I wear them all the time, too bad they are not good for my back. Wearing high heeled shoes puts more pressure on your lower back than you would think. The higher the heel on a shoe the worse the back pain really is. Also, these shoes can cause ankle injuries if you have not “trained” yourself to walk in them, so use caution each time you walk down the street in these shoes.

When purchasing a new pair of shoes, whether they are heels or flats, be sure to get something that is comfortable and does not fit too tightly around the foot. If a shoe is too tight you may rub blisters on your feet which could lead to more serious conditions such as gangrene.

You should purchase a shoe that is made of comfortable material that will not make your feet sweat as this too could lead to painful injuries on your feet. Also if a shoe does make your feet sweat, your foot could slide forward causing the shoe to rub against your foot even more or allow you to walk right out of your shoe, and this could be embarrassing.

Each time you wear a pair of shoes, remember that you should always use caution when walking some public places have harder floors than others which could make it a little more difficult when walking. Lastly, wear shoes that are right for the environment that you are in or will be in while in these shoes. Try not to wear high heel shoes to zoo you should wear something that accommodates your daily activities.
